Greetings from the Dean of the Pages' Academy!

I want to thank Karen Larsdatter for all her work on the Pages' Academy website. http://pagesacademy.atlantia.sca.org/ Go check out the new information that is being updated frequently! We have new proceedures in place so that the Academy will run smoother. In the works are pages for teachers with advice on how to teach to younger audiences, as well as a page for autocrats and event staff on how to utilize the Pages at your event, if they so wish, as Page-for-a-Day.

Soon, the bead system will be introduced, and I will post to the list when that is up so that we can get a new system in place. I will do my best to keep everyone posted as to when changes are made tot he site.

I also encourage anyone interested to join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Atlantia_Pages_Academy/ . Updates, information, and general commentary will begin happening very soon on the list! I would like to have all Chancellor Minors to join this list so you can begin promoting the Pages' Program in your area.

I am also looking for teachers! Every University will have at least 1-2 Pages' class. The other goal is to have at least 1 Pages' class at every Kingdom level event. So, please, please, please! contact me if you teach, and would like to try and help out little Atlantians that are out future.

With all that said, if you are interested in becoming a page, if you already ARE a page, or if you were a page a while back, and gave up, please contact me either on the egroup or my email. We want to get this Academy growing again!

Passion, it lies in all of us. Sleeping, waiting, and though unwanted, unbidden it will stir. Open it's jaws and howl. It speaks to us, guides us. Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. the joy of love, the clarity of hatred, and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd truly be dead.
