That is good news!

Being on kidney dialysis can limit a lot of activities, although it's not really very debillitating. My father spent 24 years on dialysis, and worked full time and had many extra-curricular activities that he was involved in. It did hamper our ability to travel and visit relatives.
I know that having a transplant will free you up in a lot of ways!

Best of luck in your recovery!

Subject: [MR] Joyous News!

Master Corwyn Wodewarde received a kidney transplant on March 15th, and is healing beyond all expectations of his medical team. They allowed him to return home yesterday, three days earlier than originally planned. After three years of dialysis, we are both very excited to have more freedom in our lives.

We welcome all good wishes and hope to be in contact with our friends as soon as possible. At this point, email and phone contact are probably best since we're trying to keep him healthy. If you wish to visit, please be aware that he is very susceptible to infection as they are suppressing his immune system so he won't reject the kidney. If you're sick, think you might be getting sick, or have been exposed to someone who is sick, please don't come. And don't bring any children.

Also, please don't hug him for now. As they gradually decrease the meds, we hope that restriction will be eased.

If you wish to contact him directly, his email is corwynwdwd at aol.com or you can call us at 864-268-3837.

Apologies if you receive this multiple times.
