Regarding feasts: aren't those (usually) budgeted separately anyway?
Those who don't want to eat feast don't pay for it.  It seems like
reducing the size of the feast wouldn't really make a difference in
day trip costs, just the price of the feast.

Admittedly, I don't get out to a WHOLE lot of events, but in my
personal experience it's been a rarity to encounter an event where
lunch and feast were included.
