[MR] Event fees for WOW

Greetings to all in the tavern,

Excessive is a matter of prospective. The cost of attending an event is not just the site and feast fees, but the food for the rest of the weekend, the cost of travel, and lodging if not staying on site. For some it will be more than their budget allows. But that does not mean that their opinion is wrong. It's an opinion and everyone has one. Do I think WoW is excessive? No, but given finances right now I still may not be able to go. That's life. But whether a person feels it is excessive or not is no reason to attack them for their views. If one person is not allowed to speak their mind then none of us are. I don't always agree with Duke Logan, but I will always defend him, or anyone else, for saying what he thinks. In the 20+ years I've been in the SCA I've never seen anyone attacked for their opinion like His Grace has been this week. What happened to the courtesy we all used to hold so dearly? 

I may not always live within the borders of Atlantia, but I always have and always will consider myself an Atlantian. Should I live somewhere else and want to attend an Atlantian event, I will. And if I choose to comment about something on this list or any other I will do so as I see fit. If anyone doesn't like it they don't have to read it. That's what the delete button is for.

If you think the event fee is excessive- dont come. If you arent in the kingdom.....dont comment. Im sure you have better things to do with your time.
