Those are all very good points. Though after speaking to the past autocrats
from Gulf Wars I have found that there is no paid staff for that event.

Gulf Wars is indeed a huge bargain in my book. $60 for a week of SCA fun!?!
SCORE!
But that being said, To go to Gulf Wars for just Friday, Saturday & Sunday
it costs $40.
And having been to the event this year and staying through til Sunday...
my personal opinion (disclaimer, I did say personal opinion not stated fact)
is that WoW has enough activities in the 4 days it is open to warrant a $20
fee.
