Your Grace and the rest assembled,
I would like to state that I didn't feel that your comments were a personal
attack. I would also like to thank everyone who jumped in to defend both the
event and me.
I understand that the jump in price is surprising to some people and I want
to assure everyone that this was done after much number crunching, and many
discussions. The last thing any of us want to do is price this very popular
event in a way that prohibits people from coming.
That is why in addition to keeping the event costs as low as possible we
also have a family cap of $42. That cap is for pre-reg and at the gate. That
is also why we chose to only charge for the older children. The $6 charge
for the older children is simply the amount we are being charged for them to
come on site. We pay that $6 for every person on site, from newborn to the
oldest person. We chose to accept the cost burden of the younger children,
while still providing quality kid's activities because we want everyone to
be able to come and have a good time.
I hope that everyone who wants to come is able to, and I truly hope that if
you decide not to come that the cost of the event isn't why.
