I realize that you can't figure out what would be wrong with
disrespecting people's work in public, Logan, that's what I find amazing
and frustrating.
Have you ever heard of praise in public and punish in private? We have
sat around scratching our butts for a week now criticizing the decisions
of those poor unnamed souls who are willing to take on this job of
running our events. It's one thing to brain storm ways to solve a
problem and it's another thing to start taking pot shots at the work of
specific groups of people and you just went strolling across that
boundary without blinking an eye.
Why would anyone hestitate to be an autocrat? You take on a huge amount
of legal and financial responsibility, you usually go without sleep or
rest for days and you work regardless of the weather without pay, and
bonus! if you are really lucky, the Merry Rose might sit around talking
about what a bad job you are doing with your budget and how you and your
group are heartless capitalist pigs for wanting enough money to pay off
your storage unit for another year! Why would that NOT be an attractive
role that everyone wants to take? Sign me up for public ridicule, please.
That's beside the point that any good ideas or reasonable comments on
this topic have been made multiple times and we are now beating a dead
horse.
And this from a group who supposedly follow a law of courtesy. I'm
sorry that I lost my temper over this, and I should not be informing you
that you are being rude, but I couldn't stand it any more. I'm going to
do us all a favor and unsubscribe.
