hey dulcy, this is a pretty widespread virus that affects people with
hotmail and yahoo email accounts as their mail client.  it was originally
spread by being embedded in the image files people use on faceplant and with
so many people spending so much time on facebook clicking away at every
"which woodland creature are you" survey thingy it spread very quickly.
most of the time the people it hits dont know they have been hit for a
while.  to fix it all they need to do is change their password (or just use
an email client on their machine).  while the person with that email address
might truly be a douche (im not sure i know him/her) they certainly are not
sending these emails out intentionally.
