Earlier in one of the branches of this thread, Duke Logan mentioned that a person ought to be able to point out a perceived problem without having to suggest a solution, and you've done that.  However, if you want to convince anyone of your viewpoint in the face of the various countervailing points that have been brought up, you're going to have to bring up some points of your own.
 
>From what I've seen, your entire argument consists of "well we've done it before" and "we ought to do it again".  If that's the entire substance of your side of the debate, I respectfully submit that you're not likely to convince anyone but yourself.

We've done the cheap successful event in the past and I think we go back to our roots and do things the way we used to with the primitive sites or we'll lose a huge portion of our populace.

I'm glad WOW has become so successful but it is possible to do a quality cheap event.  I believe we've lost our roots and need to go back.
