I agree with you.   The SCA over all is pretty cheap, this is one of
the many reasons I do the SCA.
  get this, while at ConCarolinas a few weeks ago, there was a panel
of people who do similar but not really the same things as the SCA.
These were mainly Live Action Role Players.   On average, these guys
are paying $50.00 an event and have to buy food on top of that.   The
SCA is a deal.
