Here's one idea, and I have been both cook and populace- make feasts smaller!!. Table munchies get eaten fast. First remove, pretty much munched. Second remove, fills in the remaining spaces. Third remove? hardly touched, often so late in the evening that some are packing up, interferes with using the hall for dancing/singing/cleanup crew, and mostly ends up as Sunday leftover breakfast. I for one would be happy with 2 main removes, one little sweet/dessert. Less work for cooks, more time for other evening activities, LESS MONEY for the feast budget. For a really big Kingdom event, like 12th Night, maybe 3 removes is cool, otherwise.... And nobody start singing "Bring Me Bread and Butter, and Cheeee-eeee-eese" to me,. thank you very much :-)  Rosalind Jehanne
