Usually when I take prednisone, it is a single hit. I do not like taking meds unless I absolutely need them. The few times I had to take an oral steroid (prednisone, etc) it makes me want to eat everything in sight. It also gives me the ABILITY to eat everything in sight. So yeah, the weight gain is an issue. Nasty stuff. I had to take it once when I had an outbreak of summac so bad it was making my skin split open and causing anaphylaxis. Fun times. 

 

That sort of thing is not managable using home remedies.
