often times leg cramps, especially to the hamstrings, is caused by the ionic
levels in your cells.  quinine is an easy fix most of the times.  it used to
be available in pill form but i dont think anyone is producing it anymore.
you can still try tonic water (it will say if it contains quinine or not)
even though its nasty stuff, even mixed with vodka.  ;^)

As I understand it pickle juice helps recover salt and other nutrients and a
lack of nutrients can create muscle cramps.  I don't know if it's directly
related htough.

In my case I was getting leg cramps on a regular basis just from getting
older as a non fighter and my mother told me to increase the regular levels
of calcium in my diet.  Don't know if this would help with post fighting
muscle and other sporting cramps or not.
