As I understand it pickle juice helps recover salt and other nutrients and a lack of nutrients can create muscle cramps. I don't know if it's directly related htough.
In my case I was getting leg cramps on a regular basis just from getting older as a non fighter and my mother told me to increase the regular levels of calcium in my diet. Don't know if this would help with post fighting muscle and other sporting cramps or not.
