As has been said, 
we are first and formost,( as states in the info the IRS has about us and what EVERY MOAS gets told these days) an educational organization. We are also supposed to be non descrimenatory.
There for , anyone who walks into our doors has a right to be offered the same opporunity to learn, and to see what we have learned.
We teadh by example as well as in classes, etc. 
It is anyone's choice in the SCA to participate or not in anything but, I hope everyone would remember that, in the original SCA dream,ALL were nobility, noble by association, birth, and spirit. 
That is what I experienced coming into this amazing Known World 21 years ago. That is what has kept me in though it is not always easy to see,the dream anymore, a lot has happend. That is why I raised my child in it when I didnt have too much other help but in the SCA I had a family that was unbelivably varied and loving and protective.

The nobility of the spirit and immeasurable opportunity for continued learning.......
That message, being spread by example, should not be denied anyone.

This is not the right forum to discuss this issue. Can we save this discussion for the proper forum? Can we just agree to disagree about this. Good gracious. This is the reason I got out of the SCA before. Too many people with personal agendas. Why cant we just agree to disagree about this and move on? Nobody cares about your personal agenda. If you wish to debate this, take it to the right forum and stop wasting the bandwidth on this issue. 

I am sorry about this but I for one am tired about people plastering the Merry Rose list with things that have nothing to do with the SCA or with period subjects.
