Was it really necessary to insult myself and an organization that I am
proud to be a part of, publicly on the list?

Was it really necessary to publicly proclaim that you were happy I have
thus been unable to get assistance for a demonstration for children?

I'm sorry that you feel that the Boy Scouts are bigots and intolerant.
My 30+ years of involvement has taught me otherwise. Is it a perfect
organization? No, but I defy anyone to tell me one that is.

But that's neither here nor there. I will not be drawn into an argument
over the BSA publicly on this list. If anyone has a problem with the
BSA, the Merry Rose is not the place to air it.

I am simply trying to help introduce the SCA to 7-10 year olds and
provide them with a fun and enjoyable demonstration. What boy doesn't
like the idea of people with swords and sheilds bashing each other?

I meant no offense, and I apologise if I have given any.
