Bartering is an awesome system. More people should get back to it. 

 

My husband I barter A LOT.

 

We have more than once bartered for vacations (guys owns a marina and needs a website, for instance. He owns a sweet luxury houseboat. Or someone with a beach house on Kiowa. Favors are worth more than the sum of their parts.)

 

Heck, a guy at our church is a landscaper, so he takes care of the grounds over there. So we take care of stuff like business cards, flyers, etc for his business. No money changes hands. 

 

It's a pretty cool way to do business, actually. And yeah, no taxes change hands, either. More people ought to do it.
