[MR] The new Pennsic U Teen Minor Policy...

Absolutely. The *original* policy stated that minors aged 17 years and younger must be accompanied to any Pennsic U class by a parent or guardian. Wackiness ensued. The policy was modified from "parent or guardian" to "responsible adult" approved by a parent or guardian. Further wackiness ensued, including a number of teachers--including Master Cariadoc* (yep, *that* Cariadoc)--stating publicly that they would cancel their Pennsic U classes and/or move them off the official schedule and into other locations.

Apparently after such a passionate public outcry, TPTB wisely decided to back down a bit. FWIW, the policy allegedly "only" affected this year's Pennsic. But lots of folks feared for the precedent it would set for the future.

*I know he's also *Duke* Cariadoc. He lists himself on University schedule as "Master." I'm not inclined to argue the point with him. :-)

Slan,
Grainne ingen Lugdach <--geeks out over Pennsic U and is glad that the hoopla has mostly died down

Note the date on the policy you copied - established 7/12.  This is
the LATEST and most reasonable version of the policy.  The version
everyone had a problem with was much more restrictive.
