On the ninth day of January, A.S. XLIV, being the year 2010 by the common
reckoning; Their Atlantian Majesties, Tsar Vladimir Ivanovich Aleksandrov
and Tsaritsa Kalisa Aleksandrovna, gathered with Their most stalwart of
subjects in the Barony of Nottinghill Coill to celebrate Twelfth Night. Several
Royal Courts were held, wherein the following business was conducted:
MORNING COURT
(Mistress Rhiannon ui Neill was the primary herald and was seconded by
Lady Rosanella Vespucci)
- Aleksandra Aleksandrovna of the East Kingdom was recognized with the
Queen’s Order of Courtesy.
- Lady Adrianna du Chesne was inducted into the Order of the Opal.
- Baroness Bríg ingen Érennaigh was inducted into the Order of the Golden
Dolphin.
- Lord Donal Oneal was given a Grant of Arms.
- Master Bran Trefonnen was installed as Triton Principal Herald of
Atlantia assisted by CoH members: Mistress Alisoun MacCoul of Elphane, Matsudaira
Kentarou Toshiyori Sensei, Baron Talorgen Hersir nepos Wrguist, Baron
Lucien de La Rochelle, Lord Tankred Bras-de-Fer, Herrin Gisela vom Kreuzbach.
MID-MORNING COURT
(Master Bran Trefonnen was the primary herald)
- Loric of Ironwood was banished (Level 3/Absolute).
Between these Courts, Their Majesties had the pleasure of participating in
the marriage proposal of Shandar to his lady, Raine of Moorhaven. (She
accepted!)
AFTERNOON COURT
(Master Bran Trefonnen was the primary herald)
Several members of the Cyddlain Downs musical group “A Wake at the Wheel”
were recognized.
- Ivar Ulfsson received his Award of Arms.
- Vincent D’orleans received his Award of Arms.
- Katherine D’orleans received her Award of Arms.
- Aysha of Cyddlain Downs received her Award of Arms.
EVENING COURT
(Master Bran Trefonnen was the primary herald and was seconded by Herrin
Gisela vom Kreuzbach)
- Their Majesties turned the tables by having young Conrad and Seamus give
toys to their adult subjects!
- Then Atlantia's children were invited to pick a toy from Their Majesties'
toy chest.
- Newcomers to the event were welcomed to both the event and the Kingdom
of Atlantia.
- Lady Caitlin MacDonaughue (escorted by Lord Edmund Hawkesworth) was
awarded the Silver Nautilus for her couture.
- Master Asim al-Talib was inducted into the Order of the Golden Dolphin.
- Their Excellencies, Count Randal Sinclair Hawkins and Countess Kari Kyst
presented gifts to Their Majesties on behalf of Their hosting
Excellencies Nottinghill Coill. Baron Talon mac Dubhagáin and Baroness Elizabeth
Canynges the Ravenhaired spent the entire event in the kitchen supplying food
for the extraordinary buffet.
- Count Randal Sinclair Hawkins was detained and inducted in to the Order
of the Coral Branch.
- Mistress Sine ní Dheaghaidh presented the A&S prizes on behalf of the
Autocrat, Lady Victoria Pringle.
- The winner of the Tempore Atlantia (1250-1492) was THL Lidia de Ragusa.
- The winner of the “Venice along the trade routes” competition was Lady
Nem Inghean Dochartaigh
- THL Lidia and Lady Nem were the first and third place winners of the
House Corvus: Decameron purses.
- His Excellency Sacred Stone, Baron Axel of Tavastia presented Their
Majesties with disturbing evidence of fraternization between the Stierbach bull
and the Sacred Stone phœnix. But who did what to whom? The “situation”
looks to be resolved around the second weekend of October!
- The King's Bard, Lady Adrianna du Chesne presented the baldric of her
station to her chosen successor, Lady Rosanella Vespucci, following the day’
s Bardic competition. Lady Rosanella was also the second place winner of
the House Corvus: Decameron purse. She then delighted the assembled Court
with her winning (and self written) song. “La la” It was amazing!
- Baron Geoffrey Athos von Ulm was inducted into the Order of the Golden
Dolphin.
- Hrothgar Ravensson received his Award of Arms.
- Meadhbh the Handy was inducted into the Order of the Coral Branch.
- Lady Tréphine la Broderesse was inducted into the Order of the Pearl.
