Subject: Needle Lace on your sewing machine class
Reminder: This Sunday, 28 Feb, at 1:00 at 8604 Slate Hill Circle, Frederick MD 21704.
Please RSVP, as I have to get supplies together.
If you are coming, you will need to bring:
A sewing machine that can do some decorative stitches. It does not have to be an embroidery machine, however.
90/14 topstiching needle. We will be using a thick cotton thread, and you need the larger eye of this type of needle.
You will also need two inch strips of fabric, folded lengthwise. (They can be wider than 2 inches). You will make your samples on these strips and making notes of them, so the fabric should be white or off-white.
You will also need various presser feet. (Wide feet with open spaces so you can better see things, and better line up the stitches.
If you want to see what the lace can look like, you can see examples here: http://delsartogown.shutterfly.com/
Thanks!
YIS,
Alessandra
