Noble friends,

Here are several very nice little stories on the restored "Sterling
heads", oak bosses which once adorned the ceiling of Sterling Castle in
Scotland. These carvings show fantastic detail, and are an interesting
peek at clothing worn in Scotland (albeit by the very upper classes) in
the mid-16th century. Watching the slide show is a must! You don't have
to be a Scot to appreciate these carvings or the clothing details: some
of the fashions are Italian.
