'Twas the 11th of December, and all through Nottinghill.
His Majesty did hold Court, in the grip of Winter's chill.
Herein is contained the Court Report for His Majesty, Brian, Lord Soverign of Atlantia at His Barony of Nottinghill Coill's Yule Toy Tourney.
After a day of displaying the might, beauty, and most importantly, the generosity of this great Kingdom, Brian I, King of Atlantia did hold Court in the late afternoon.
Upon opening Court, His Majesty did express the joy that He felt when seeing how many toys were donated to those who would have otherwise received none this Holiday Season.
His Majesty did bid those for whom it was their first time visiting Atlantia before him. He did welcome the newcomers and bid them welcome to live among His lands and find the joy as those that had come before have.
His Majesty did grant a boon unto Their Excellencies of Nottinghill Coill in the form of granting them leave to conduct business in His Court.
Upon completion of Their Excellencies Court, His Majesty did bid Rohesia Anven of Thessalonica to come before Him. He did speak of her service since coming to these lands, her work in the arts of Calligraphy and Illumination, and her willingness to put the needs of others above her own. His Majesty admitted that he was torn on how to honor her works, whether through service, or arts , but that He had made his decision, and bid that Rohesia be added to the ranks of Nobility with an Award of Arms, and be inducted into the Order of the Coral Branch for her arts .
Then Virginia of Wolfholt was summoned before King Brian and with joy did His Majesty expound upon the virtues of the service provided by one so young. Having served in the kitchens and as a retainer for Their Excellencies, she has proved to be a joyous, hard-working member of Atlantia' youth. As such, His Majesty was minded to induct Virginia into His Order of the Hippocampus.
Alessandra Sartor was then summoned before Our Liege, who did speak highly of the works that she has accomplished. From learning the art of Calligraphy and Illumination to working the gate where Atlantian's may gather. Mindful that service should not be its own reward, His Majesty did elevate Alessandra to the ranks of Nobility with an Award of Arms.
Proving, once again, that the youth of Atlantia are mindful of serving others, Tasha Lee was summoned before Good King Brian, and her works, from working in kitchens, to assisting others set up camps, were praised by His Majesty. Finding her worthy, He did induct her into His Order of the Hippocampus so that others may know of her service .
So that their accomplishments may be known to all, the Autocrat was summoned into Court to announce the winners of the various competitions held throughout the day. With joy, it was announced that 230 toys were donated to Country Santa. While this announcement was made, another 35 toys were brought in, raising the total to 265 toys.
Then, Lord Donal Oneal was summoned before the Throne. His Majesty, having seen, and tasted, the continous works of Donal in the kitchens of Nottinghill Coill did hold forth the opinion that this level of work should be acknowledged, and thereby inducted Donal into His Majesties Order of the Opal.
Finally, Master Eldred Ælfwald did ask to bring forth an issue before His Majesty. King Brian, holding the opinion that One's Peers should always be heard, did grant Master Eldred an audience. Master Eldred admitted that he was embarrassed by an Apprentice of his, and did ask for His Majesty's guidance in this matter. With concern upon His countenance, His Majesty did ask in what manner did the Apprentice prove embarrassing. Master Eldred stated that this issue did arise from the fact that his Apprentice had surpassed him in skill. M. Eldred did bid Lord Felipe to rise and hold forth the Illuminated Award Document that he just receive from Their Excellencies, which was the work of M. Eldred's Apprentice as proof of his claim . His Majesty then did summon all Knights of Atlantia present before Him, and bid them to retrieve this Apprentice. Whilst the Knights did so, a Writ was issued and read before the populace. His Majesty's Herald, upon looking at the Writ, was so overcome with joy, that he proved unable to read aloud the words contained there-in as he openly wept with the pride that only a husband, and fellow apprentice can have . The Baronial Herald did stand forth and read aloud that Baroness Brig ingen Erennaigh was hereby summoned to appear before Their Majesties at Their Kingdom 12th Night to sit Vigil to consider induction into the Order of the Laurel. Brian, Crown of Atlantia, did leave His Throne and speak words of joy, honor and gratitude to Baroness Brig and shared with her that He looks forward to her joining the ranks of the Peers of Atlantia.
His Majesty, Brian, Lord Soverign of Atlantia, having no further business to conduct this day, did close His Court.
This being a true and accurate accounting , written by my quill on this 15th day of December, A.S. XLV . I remain...
In service,
Baron Lucien de La Rochelle
Gordin Knot Pursuivant
