Vintage 1989 Alvarez Regent 5212 Acoustic Guitar
Efenwealt Wystle charity auction and "fire sale"In early November, friends of
mine in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) lost their home in fire.
They are thankfully unscathed but lost most of their worldly possessions in the
fire. All of the monies from the sale of this instrument I am donating directly
to them.
This is a Vintage 1989 Alvarez Regent model 5212 Acoustic Guitar (no case)
Spruce top, mahogany body. Has nice warm low and mid-tones. The bridge has 2
screws that allow string action to be adjusted.
His name is "Harvey". He could probably do with some fret work and has a few
scratches, but sounds just fine as is. A great guitar to haul camping.
I am the only owner of this guitar and have played it since 1989. With it I
have recorded 11 "Efenwealt Wystle" Tapes and CDs, and 2 "Blibbering
Humdingers" CDs. (find me on iTunes). It has performed in living rooms, coffee
shops, wizard rock shows and bardic circles all across the United States. It is
a 20 year veteran of the Pennsic Wars and has also visited Gulf Wars a few
times. It helped me win the Royal Bard competition for the Kingdom of
Atlantia. In fact the songs "Fair Lady Atlantia" "Misha" "Dobby, Bang Your
Head" and "Voldemort Made Me Crap My Pants" were all written with the help of
this very guitar. It has performed for Kings and Queens of the Knowne World on
dozens of occasions. It's played the Wampum Willow at Wrockstock, and even a
hay-ride with my old GlaxoSmithKline work-mates. This guitar and I have been
through a lot together.
I will cover the cost of shipping in the US. I would be happy to autograph
this guitar if you wanted, as either "Efenwealt Wystle" or as "Scott Humdinger"
