Greetings All!
As you plan your day at 12th Night, please remember to stop by the
Backlog Scroll competition and see some of the truly awesome works of
art that Atlantia's scribes produce. While many of you may have seen
"combat scribes" working on a scroll at events, there is quite a bit of
time and energy that goes into the research, planning and creation of
the scrolls given out by the Monarchs of Atlantia. Some scrolls take a
few hours while others may take more than 50 hours to complete. The
newer scrolls are held up in court as they are given out but the backlog
scrolls are often passed from the scribe to the Clerk Signet to the
award recipient and are not seen by many people. I hope that the
display at 12th Night will give you all a chance to come appreciate
Atlantia's scribes and all of their hard work.
And, if you happen to be a past Monarch of Atlantia...your finishing
touch may be just what that backlog scroll needs to be complete! Please
take a moment to stop by and view the scrolls (and maybe sign a few).
Remember, the backlog scroll competition is for any complete backlog
scroll ready to be passed on to the award recipient. (Signatures do not
have to be complete for the scroll to be part of the competition).
Baroness Tegan de Moreton
Undine Pursuivant
Clerk of the Signet, Atlantia
