[MR] possible archery confusion

I humbly beg the pardon of the good souls of the tavern while I make but a small clarification.

Tibbie Croser, a promising target archer, has made the point for me already, in a most eloquent way. I do believe the Duke Logan and I were conversing about two different subjects; I cannot in any manner or fashion speak to the rules or conduct of combat archery, about which I confess my education is almost as inadequate as my interest is anemic. Beyond this, I have no desire to debate the relative contributions of archers in medieval battles (see Crecy) nor do I have any opinion whatsoever about fighters or, for that matter, any subject beyond target archery. I only spoke out in the tavern out of sadness for my fellow target archers who showed up for a recent shoot and were tuned away, unable to play in their usual fields, and out of frustration with the beauracracy for handing down obtuse rules. As a parting thought I would like to append the very small opinion that anyone in the sca who believes target archers are not the lowest of the subjects is not one of us - - and to be quite frank, sometimes we prefer this mirroring of our beloved ages. And now I shall go back to my anonymity (and please, I beg no further Merry Rose discord!)

Good day to all. Nuala of Needwood
Ps. I shall henceforth work diligently to recognize and appreciate irony from our royalty!
