[MR] Moose Tale Tourney Rapier activities, April 17 2010

Greetings from Lady Thyra Olafsdottir, autocrat for A Moose Tale Collegium and Tournament, to be held April 17, 2010 in the Barony of Highland Foorde, Hagerstown MD. Below is the schedule and description of the rapier activities planned.  The MiC is Od Thorgestsson, maven at i2k.com . Anyone willing to help marshal, please let us know. Schedule
10-11 Inspections and authorizations  (later inspections and authorizations may occur based on availability of marshals)
11-12:30  Mixed up tourney
12:30-1:30 lunch break
1:30-4:30 Continuation of tourney and a mix of melees.

Mixed up tourney:  Be prepared to use your teamwork skills and skill with all weapons forms.  At the beginning of each bout, you will be randomly partnered with another fighter for a 2 on 2 melee.  Each individual will also be randomly assigned a weapon form they will use for the bout. (Single sword, Sword and dagger, Sword and non-rigid, sword and rigid, Case of rapier).  A fighter who draws a weapon form that is not to their liking may always select to default to single rapier.  Partners and weapon forms will change every bout.  Latecomers are welcome to join in at any time.

Scoring will be kept on an individual basis.
Gain 2 points each if you and your partner for the bout win AND with both of you alive and able to walk off the list. (i.e. no leg wounds)
Gain 1 point each if your team wins with a single team member alive.
Loose 4 points each if both sides are dead at the end of the round. (i.e. double kill penalty)

Mixed up melees:
This will be several melee scenarios prepared and  will selected based on attendance and the mood of the day.
