was honored to be asked by Baroness Cairistiona de Coveran to provide the lunch
on Saturday at Defending the Gate. I hope that everyone enjoyed the food and
had enough to eat. I would like to take a moment of your time to recognize
those gentles who once more showed up to support me. 

   

My
thanks to Lady Katherine O’Carroll for
making the fabulous baklava and for all your help with preparations, and
serving, and clean up. 

   

To
Lord Bruce Murray, my apprentice and friend and maker of sauces, thank you for
making pies and for making the trip. As always, your good humor and assistance
were greatly appreciated. 

   

Thanks
to Lady Brienna for making the bread and assisting with serving and also to
milady Lindsay for her assistance. 

   

To
Mistress Cordelia FitzRobert of York and Lady Maeve FitzRobert of York, thank
you for your generosity and for baking quiches, and cheese and mushroom pies
and almond tarts, and corned beef (and ham!!!). As always, you outdid
yourselves!.
