There is no additional authorization required in Atalntia for using thrown
weapons, they are open for use by anyone with a valid weapons authorization
for the heavy field.
By Atlantian policy 3.10.1, thrown weapons are per SCA regulations without
any changes.
By section VI.F.5 (under hand and wrist protection) those using a thrown
weapon need only a half gauntlet.
But, if you are using a one of the thrust and throw javelin, you will still
need a full gauntlet on the throwing hand because the weapon can be used in
hand-to-hand combat.

I am a newly authorized fighter, and have a weapon and sheild authorization.
I am interested in throwing javelins during war situations. I was told that
i can do that with just my weapon and sheild aurthorization, is this true?
