Greetings to the Tavern,
I hope this can offer some inspiration to any budding or wanna be
artists; be it illuminators, calligraphers, gilders, etc. I want to
list a few of my favorite scribal websites that could spark some
creativity in prep for War of the Wings. I do not know if there is a
sponsor for the scribal blank challenge but it is my understanding
that there will be someone to take scrolls if they are made or brought
to the event. (If there is a sponsor it is not easily found on the WoW
page and could that person PM me - I have a few questions)
Our backlog is still no where near being completed! (Check it out if
you don't believe me: http://scribe.atlantia.sca.org/backlog) Add in
the fact that each reign there are even more scrolls needing to be
created. This war is a *perfect* oppourtunity for anyone to display
their talents or maybe you have been wanting to try and just haven't
mustered the courage to do so... you don't have to do the whole
scroll. If you want to do just calligraphy or just illumination there
is no problem with that :) Send me an email if you want to start but
just not sure how or what to do after you look at these pages.
