[MR] Brotherhood, sort of...

Ok, just gotta hop on the soapbox for a moment...
People keep preaching tolerance, how about a little tolerance for the fact that the English language just wasn't written for gender-neutrality, and just get over it? Saying "him or her", "he or she", and labelling everyone as a "person" just starts to sound a bit silly after a while. Why is it so surprising that the language includes gender-specific terms to talk about people? People have genders, that's a simple fact of biology. Do they matter much? Unless you're talking about which bathroom to use, not really.
When Neil Armstrong said something about "one giant leap for mankind", he meant all of us, of whatever gender/color/ethnicity.
The language ain't perfect, but it's the one we've got.
And I'll probably achieve political correctness about the time they start shoveling dirt onto my face.

Can y'all tell I just recently read the UNC official policy on using gender inclusive language?! LOL
(boils down to: the male gendered term is not the acceptable default anymore, but it takes them 2 detailed pages to say so...)
