[MR] Skirmish magazine

Skirmish is a quality magazine, I got a number of issues at
a Reenactor's Fest in Gettysburg a few years ago, I got some specials on
Hastings and Waterloo as well as some of the general issues. It covers mostly
UK and large European reenactments, super high quality events and kits. They
get a few articles on the Americans in there.

Jonathan notes the price is high; it is an imported magazine so you are paying
for shipping from overseas as well as for the exchange rate.

The fellows that run the magazine are really nice; they happened to be sitting
at the table next to us at Reenactor's Fest the first night and we got to
talking. They did a feature on the group I was with Lord Grey's Retinue and a
picture of me and a friend giving a demo of sword fighting was in the next
issue in the article about Reenactor's Fest.

Is it worth it is a hard question, if you enjoy books like Gerry Embelton's: Medieval
Military Costume: Europa Militaria Special No. 8, The Medieval Soldier: 15th Century Campaign Life Recreated in
Colour Photographs or La Belle Compagnie’s:1381: The Peel Affinity: An English
Knight's Household in the Fourteenth Century then you may like Skirmish Magazine.
