[MR] defining terms

I've been thinking hard about this.  I actually don't have a checklist since I go with my gut feelings about what is the most courteous.  I'm thinking there shouldn't be a checklist on this.  Let others teach you how to be more courteous than yourself.  If you win great.  If you don't you learned something new.  Not winning is not the end of the world.  Courtesy was still encouraged and that is the most important point.
