[MR] defining terms

His Grace's question about where courtesy ends and good sportsmanship  
begins makes me wonder how much the concept of chivalry was involved  
in the formation of what  we know as modern sportsmanship? I think the  
confusion probably comes because the one concept owes much of it's  
existance to the other.
