If the new fighter makes their own armor (using borrowed tools), they can
get armoured for less than $100.  That's a metal harness.  If they scavenge
for carpet scraps and cheap material to cover it, they can make it cheaper
than that.

If they are near enough to Attilium to work in my shop, I'll buy the
materials if they make two harnesses.  They keep one, I try to sell the
other to cover the cost of materials.

Of course, if they buy the materials, they can use my tools for free.
