[MR] WoW - Breast Cancer Fundraising

Greetings to those who gather here today. Please pass this information on to those who would welcome it.

As has been the case since the inception of War of the Wings, several fundraisers to support the Susan G Koman Foundation's work to find a cure for Breast Cancer.

Here they are in a nutshell ... it must be pointed out for legal reasons that all fundraisers, though happening at the event and with the full support of the event staff, are private fundraisers. The money will not go through the event's books. It is a separate financial issue being coordinated by Mistress Sine ni Dheaghaidh of the Canton of Crois Brigte. 



Baroness Morwenna Trevethan has created handmade quilts to be raffled
as part of the fundraiser for the past two years.  She has graciously
offered up the work of her hands and heart once more for WoW IV.  Photos

Chateaux Ferneaux will sponsor a torchlight tourney on Friday evening
about 9 pm. A donation to the fundraiser is requested as
the entry fee for the tourney.  






Thrown Weapons will have a torch light shoot on Friday night and Archers, a torch light shoot on Saturday night.



 
Rapierfolk, fighting with live steel and all, will hold their fundraiser tourney beginning about 4 pm on Friday in the sunlight. Inspections will begin at 3 and the MoL will set up about 3:30. 





The Sacred Stone Canton of Middlegate will host an SCA Yard Sale of new and gently used items of interest to the average Scadian. Proceeds will be given to the fundraising efforts as well.




A Best Use of Pink competition is sponsored by Lady Catrine St. Loe in the A&S competitions Saturday.





All are asked to wear Pink on Friday of the event to show support against this incidious beast who steals away the beauty of Atlantia like a coward in the shadows. We have seen bravery and grace in the face of this devastation. Allow us to draw upon that example and shine in solidarity to destroy this killer.
