Just jumping into the conversation to add my $0.02 here.
If you take pictures as you are enjoying yourself at an event, just as
everyone else present is doing what they enjoy at an event, then IMO you are
doing something that you feel is fun and it falls into the definition of a
hobby IMO. If you post pictures on the internet, and you do it because you
enjoy doing so, it is something you are doing for fun. It was pointed out
by another person on this topic that others use their real life skills to
contribute to the efforts of the SCA because they can - and probably also
because they enjoy doing so.

On the subject of sharing photography, if you post pictures on the internet
you should expect people to download them for personal use (reposting on
another website, printing, or just adding to their own photo albumn). I am
not suggesting that you, the poster, are in any way being ungrateful for
asking to retain credit for taking the image, however if you simply post
them and make them available for others to view and you do not physically
force credit then it isn't going to always happen. If you are bothered by
this then you should do one of the following: 1) don't post pictures
publicly on the internet, 2) embed a watermark of copyright information on
all your pictures prior to posting, 3) post only low-res images and disable
right clicking for downloading. Be advised that people will find a way
around watermarks, attempts to block downloading, or other efforts to
discourage "unauthorized" distribution or use of images, as his Grace
already mentioned. If you are really so set upon retaining photography
credit for the images then I strongly advise you to reread the first
sentence of this paragraph, and then take one of the 3 actions recommended
on posting images publicly, or open up yourself officially as a merchant for
photography.
