Interesting angle,

I would think an SCA event would in the laws mind be the same as a
paintball event.  Privately owned location, paying to use the
location, access limited by owner event coordinator

With that being said,

At paintball events a photographer who wishes to charge people for
photos has to announce this clearly ahead of time along signs that are
in clear view that this is their intention.  Otherwise all photos
taken are owned by the person in the photo and by the photographer.
Because it is assumed the participant has agreed to the photographer's
fees and ownership by not asking the photographer to take photos of
them.
