In case there's anyone who hasn't already made their plans for this weekend,
or who just needs a little extra tempting...
Sacred Stone is celebrating her Baronial Birthday this weekend at King's
Mountain State Park in Blacksburg, SC. We will be at Camp Cherokee, _not_
Camp York as we usually use on this site!
The site opens tomorrow (Fri, 11 Sep) at 6 PM and closes on Sunday at Noon.
The cost is a mere $10 daytrip, $2 cabin, and $6 feast for adult members.
Nonmembers must add the usual $3 surcharge for adults. The full fee
schedule is in the flyer linked below.
Highlights of the planned festivities include:
Archery! Lady Gertrude zu dem Wald has created a challenging and fun shoot
for all
Fighting! A Bedford-style points tourney is planned for armored fighters,
with the field to be kept open as long as we reasonably can so that all can
fight until they drop. A rapier tourney is also planned, with details to be
determined based upon number of participants
