[MR] Ebay for extra cash

I've been through a lot of different activities and part time projects to try and find something that will help my little store raise extra cash and what's working?
I go around to garage sales, find designer shirts and/or nice picture frames and put them on Ebay. Every time I net $7.00 per item.
Mind you it's taken me about a year to figure out the best way to sell these items, and it's taken me a long time to figure out my niche. I gave away a lot before I started netting.
But for those of you that are always thinking about extra SCA cash, working for a year to find what your Ebay niche is might be the way to do it. It takes time and patience but if you have it, something will eventually give!
I mention it because your garage sales are never going to have what my garage sales have except occasionally.
You need a thick skin and realize that your competition is going to buy something from you and try to get you in trouble by giving you a bad rating. These are people you can block from future sales. When it only happens once every 50 sales, you know you're doing the right thing.
I find it humorous that the biggest compliment my return customers can give me is that everything arrived OK and it was exactly as I described it. "Wow you told the truth!" is a very exciting thing on Ebay. How funny!
If you want to discuss this privately let me know I'll do what I can to help out. I'm going to do some more telling the truth on Ebay. <grin>
