Greetings to the lists (please cross post to all you think would be
interested in this information),
Leaves are falling and all good gentles are preparing for the coming winter.
Much like the norse men and women who spent the warmer months travelling far
from home or busy with fields and flocks, as the winder blow colder our
hearts yearn for the warmth of friendship and revelry.

On January 23rd, in lovely little Jamestown, North Carolina, the Canton of
Middlegate will open its halls to friends from near and far!
We wish to have a day filled with the sounds of songs, laughter, stories,
and the clash of armor. This is the perfect chance to try out that song,
poem or story before a small audience. You may even win a prize! It is also
a great time to get authorized before heading off to Ice Castles, Ymir or
Gulf Wars. We will hold authorizations before the heavy and rapier
tournaments begin.

We will offer a dayboard as part of the gate price, so no need to pack lunch
just bring your feast gear. Warm cider, coffee and cocoa will be available
for all, throughout the day. After the court of their excellencies of Sacred
Stone, their will be a lovelly hearty feast inspired by the norse/viking
foods of the period. Following feast we will have a bit of dancing for those
who want a chance to work off the evenings meal.

Please visit the follow link for information on all of the days events,
prices & where to send your prereg.

Please note that you MUST pre-reg to be onboard for feast. We would be
grateful for regstrations from anyone planning to come so that we can better
plan for the dayboard, but don't worry we won't turn you away if you just
show up!

Event Steward
