Greetings all from Alain de la Rochelle,
Gypsy posted an invitation to a martial practice, including jousting, and I wanted to make a minor correction/clarification..
The fact that I am teaching the jousting activity and am an authorized marshal for the Kingdom has no relevance to this activity. It is simply an un-official practice, with some specific training activities in mind for equestrians.
Further more, Gypsy's note could be mis-read that I am “the” cavalry marshal for the kingdom, and I want to clarify and re-iterate that I am only one marshal of many.
The 20.00 equipment fee is designed to cover Styrofoam tips and cardboard tubes that are used during the practice, etc. Should you provide your own equipment, then this fee will not be applied. If you don't wind up using enough tips and tubes (to equate to $20) then any remaining money will be returned. The $20 is simply based on experience and rough calculations for the training plan I have designed.
The10.00 ring fee is to cover the cost of the riding arena, and simply applied if you have a horse and wish to use the facility. The ring fee goes to the owner of the facility."
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding in my attempt to clarify the information that was distributed…
As always In Service to the Dream…
Alain
