[MR] Baskets, chests

With respect to the willow hampers: There are woven baskets aplenty in art
and a few surviving examples. Almost all I've seen are round/oval, though.

Material-wise, willow is great.

Is it necessary that your feastgear container be a box? Chests are...
impractical. A decent-looking one is often heavy and expensive and probably
not what people would have used in the 15th century for toting the small
amount of goods most take to a feast. Simple woven baskets are far lighter,
easier to carry and very easy to find at reasonable prices. Karen (of
course) has links to examples: http://www.larsdatter.com/baskets.htm

Lest anyone think I'm biased against chests; I'm a woodworker. ;)
