FIrst of all let me say I had a blast!!! I had never been to WoW and had no idea what to expect...so I may hae over packed a little, but I was prepared for almost anything so that was good. Everyone was warm and as helpful as they could be and friendly and so much was just beautiful to look at.I am so glad I went and am making plans for next year.
NEXT year I want to put my tent up in the right place the first time.
Apparently there were paths  planned to and from the parking lot but those of us a rriving early like on thursday evening..were not advised of this because they had not been previously marked  and few of the staff were awear of them either.there was a , well ,tense moment or 2 when after numerous qureies about where things should go, and having put my pavelino (wagonwheel spoke tent) up with the help of numersou sweet people in the dark, and spending the entire morning interior decorating, the land steward informed me that my pavillion, the only one in our encampment, was smack dab in the middle of the pathway, when there was nothing marking it and no one had talked about thatat troll or anywhere else.
the wonedrful and quicke thinkign Gise ended up solveing the probelm by putting the path on the other sied of camp where there was no tent to take down and make room for a path but.my hears ti wrench there for a little.
besides signs, and walls and tape, having someone with all the information at troll would be helpful.
Thank you again Gise and Manus for making it workd for me....Bambi (To be named ater) TBNL

That is a great idea for next year.  That is something that should not be considered for a war point, but should be heavily advertised to help with the confusion. One thing that the staff should consider is that MOST people are not going to show up until sometime Friday afternoon or evening, which allows for a limited amount of time to do camp improvement projects of this nature for a weekend event.

Perhaps there should be a "camp wall" point?

only partially joking*,

Hrothny

*Seriously, given the cost and storage/transportation hassle of good visible

camp demarcation stuff, if each camp did bring clearly visible 'walls' that

would also have obvious openings for gates, as we do at Pennsic, it would

cut down on the confusion and reduce the (possible) work of the staff. And

if a group "adopted" a pathway to/from the parking lot, it seems as though

it wouldn't hurt for them to get some sort of credit for it.
