For the street intersections perhaps a simple 2-2.4m 4x4 with a square
base with triangleualr supports going out to the base with street
names on them, liek a road sign...... not really period but something
we're all used to using.... and then in the center of camp a pole with
arrow signs pointing to all the areas, and major encampments with
estimated distances..... if you need a visual watch M*A*S*H and you'll
get the idea.
As for the war points I didn't vote either way as I knew not what each
side was fighting for and frankly neither did anyone I asked. I
didn't view the fighting, my little one would have been very freaked
out by it. As an example, at one point a little boy really wanted to
pet her (did I mention my little one is four legged and furry?) but
while he was holding his ratan staff that was as tall as he was she
would not let him near her. Once his dad took the staff for a minute
she had no issue letting him get close and pet her, nervous to be sure
but willing to let him pet her as long as I was right there...... no
that was just 1 four year old, an entire fighting force, yelling
screaming, hitting each other, and then coming towards her.... yeah I
saw that ending quite badly (in her being scared and just wanting to
get away, so we gave the fighting a decent sized berth).
finally, might I suggest a base that is either much heavier or gets
embedded into the earth, for the tiki torches near the pavalions? I
counted at least 2 times that the pavalion tried to "go out in a
'blaze' of glory".
