its amazing how bringing up something that seems overly tilted before the
event even happens is someone "crying" about it. especially when the
commentary was asked for and referenced by "personally i dont care, only
have an observation". be that as it may, those folks that are concerned
about having the scores that are kept being fair and equitable will be glad
to know that, in your eyes, they are crying about it and should just not
come back and go run their own event. guess you told them, maybe they will
just cowboy up and stop being little babies about it huh?
well done.

The only way I know what the "score" was and therefore who "won" War of the
Wings, or Gulf Wars, or Pennsic, is by reading about it long afterward.
Everybody knows who won the heavy fighting. Everybody knows who won the
rapier. Everybody knows who won the A&S. Everybody knows who won the other
points. In short, everybody knows who won the part of the war that mattered
the most to them.
I have yet to see anybody going home crying that they're not coming back
because the points weren't fair. Everybody I saw going home was raving
about what a blast they had.
Frankly, I would suggest to anybody who doesn't like the scoring system that
they start and run their own war. Who knows? Maybe one day they'll break a
thousand attendees.

the war points awarded at WoW. I was thinking this as I read over Lady
Gisela's report before I ever got to Duke Logan's missive. I had the
pleasure of serving the barons of Black Diamond for many years during which
time I had a very close relationship with Sacred Stone. I have had the
pleasure of serving the barons of Sacred Stone for nearly four years now. I
tell this to establish that I love both baronies dearly but my loyalty now
belongs to Sacred Stone. Still, I feel that awarding war points for
attendance, volunteering, and class attendance seems unfair when the war is
always held in the lands of Sacred Stone and the hosting barony is much
larger. I'm sure the intention was to give everyone a chance to participate
in the war, but these war points just don't seem right to me It is the
responsibility of the hosting barony to create as even a playing field as
possible. Just something to consid
