I hope that everyone is planning on heading out to Elchenburg Castle this
weekend for War of the Wings IV. The staff has done everything that they
can to ensure that this year's WoW will be even better than the last! If
you
don't know what I'm talking about, or just need more information, check out
http://warofthewings.com.
If you're ready to head that way and haven't thought about food yet, have no
fear! Don't have room for that cooking gear? Just don't want the hassle?
We've
got you covered! The Roanwoulfe Tavern will be setting up once again. Look
for us down below the merchant area in the large metal pavilion.
We plan to be on site in time to serve stew for dinner on Thursday evening,
and expect to be running through breakfast on Sunday morning. Our hours
will be roughly 7 am-10am for breakfast, 11:00-2:00 lunch, and 4-8 dinner.
We'll probably open a little later on Friday morning when there aren't as
many
folks on site, and there will probably be someone around to sell you drinks
and
anything which does not have to be cooked during the breaks between meals,
but those are the planned hours for the grills to be running. We will not
be
cooking anything after 10 AM on Sunday, as we would like to be broken down
and able to leave at a reasonable hour.
What will we have? I'm glad that you asked!
Beverages:
Canned Soda and Bottled Water: $.75
Coffee and Hot Tea: $.50
$3/for the weekend (bring your own mug!)
Breakfast:
Ham, Bacon, or Sausage sandwich with egg and cheese $3
Pancakes $2
Extra breakfast meat $1
Lunch
Ham Sandwich $4
Steak Sandwich $4
Chicken Salad Sandwich $4
Barbeque Sandwich $4
Fries $1
Pasta Salad $1
Stew or Soup $2.50
We plan on having a vegetarian option as well as a meat-based for the
soup/stew option both Friday and Saturday
Dinner
Lunch offerings, plus
Chicken Dinner $5
Slow roasted chicken leg quarter with choice of dipping sauces and 2 sides
Sides include Fries, Rice, Pasta Salad, and whichever vegetable we have
available at the time.
Shepherds Pie $3
Spinach and Meat Pie $3
We plan on trying to have desserts this year; much will depend on what we
can get fixed in the short time that is left.
If we either sell out of a planned menu item or find an especially good deal
on something, our menu may of course vary. Prices should stay in roughly
the same neighborhood.
We hope to see you there!
