That, my friend, is simply adapting your style to your opponent's style.  If  you encountered a man who fought that way,  you'd make the same adaptation.

The question of fighting women differently becomes a courtesy issue when a fighter does things like patronizing a woman fighter, or ignoring her blows, or not hitting full force, or any of a million and one things that show some sort of contempt.

Your adaptation is technical, and therefore raises no issue of courtesy.
