[MR] WAY OFF TOPIC - COCKATIEL NEEDS A HOME

Greetings to the tavern:

We have a Cockatiel, named Bingo that needs a new home.  To spare the tavern
the details; we are working on having a change in our lives and on the
advice of a professional, we won't be able to give Bingo the human
companionship he needs.

We've had him for about six years, and we adopted him from someone else, so
we really don't know how old he is.  He doesn't talk (other than the
occasional "Ut oh") but he as a really sweet song (he also does parts of the
Andy Griffith Show Theme Song); and he has his very own bird alarm when he's
frightened.  He's spent the last six years in a house with both dogs and
cats and help his own and then some.

The home before us had children in the 10-12 years old age range.

In the interest of full disclosure:  He can (and will bite), although it
hurts, he hasn't drawn blood, just nipped.  He is also rather protective of
his cage but both can be overcome with some TLC.
He comes with a cage, corn bedding, remaining food, a handmade (machine
sewn) cage cover and our undying gratitude for giving him a loving home.

We need to find him a new home before the middle of January at the latest
(and it would be best for him to move before the weather turns cold).
