[MR] Poeta Atlantiae Competition at Twelfth Night

Poets, rhymers, wordsmiths and scribblers of doggerel take heed!

On January 9, in Falcon Cree, at Their Twelfth Night celebration, Their Royal Majesties, our Tsar Vladimir and our beauteous Tsaritsa Kalisa, will release me from my obligations as Poeta Atlantiae and select a new poet to advance that Art within the Kingdom.  They have requested that suitable candidates provide two proofs of their ability, in the following forms:

One, a poem in any style, retelling a Russian folktale, in honor of the origins of our Tsar and Tsaritsa.  Please document at least the source of the folktale.  

Two, a poem in any period style on the topic of "The Queen of Atlantia," either in the abstract or about Queen Kalisa in particular.  Please provide documentation for the period verse form.
