This came across my 18C. Scottish reenactment list.  I realize it's OT and OOP, but the more folks that know, the better the chance of recovery...

Thank you for your help,

Sorry, Mark, this is all the info I have -- just forwarding it on. Maybe the original poster would have more info? I'm sure they'd be glad to have the info get out there...

Any more details on the applied id number. If it is the owners ssn then give us a partial number. If not please describe it.
There are a number of Pedersoli Brown Besses out there. I will pass it on to the powdersmith and to a friend that will have a table at the marlboro gunshow this weekend.

Dear Revwar Community,

On November 3, 2009 a member of the 7th Virginia Regiment had their house burglarized in Chesapeake, Virginia. Among the usual items which were stolen, was a large amount of reenacting equipment. Please be on the look-out for any "great" deals which might surface in your area.

The following is a list of some of the items which were stolen:
1. A custom made Fowler with a fusil thin curly maple stock and octagonal barrel tapering to round.
2. A Pedersoli .75 caliber flintlock pistol
3. A Pedersoli 1764 Charleville musket with a blackened barrel
4. A Pedersoli AN IX Charleville musket with bayonet
5. A Pedersoli short land pattern Brown Bess, serial number 10484. The backside of the lock has been engraved with a personal identification number.
6. A Spontoon
7. A Hanger with sword knot
8. A Cortemache (sp) small sword, with epee blade
9. A powder horn, engraved with a Fort William Henry theme, and having a screw cap spout

If anyone has any questions, I will be happy to forward them to our member. Unfortunately, his PC was stolen at the same time, so he is without internet contact.
Thanks,

Howard Helmer
7th Virginia Regiment
